The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Transactions on Information Theory publishes papers concerned with the transmission, processing, and utilization of information. While the boundaries of acceptable subject matter are intentionally not sharply delimited, its scope currently includes Shannon theory, coding theory and techniques, data compression, sequences, signal processing, detection and estimation, pattern recognition, learning and inference, communications and communication networks, complexity and cryptography, and quantum information theory and coding. Papers published in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Transactions on Information Theory should contain a strong conceptual or analytical contribution.

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory (JSAIT) seeks high quality technical papers on all aspects of Information Theory and its applications. JSAIT is a multi-disciplinary journal of special issues focusing on the intersections of information theory with fields such as machine learning, statistics, genomics, neuroscience, theoretical computer science, and physics. Any field that utilizes the fundamentals of information theory, including concepts such as entropy, compression, coding, mutual information, divergence, capacity, and rate distortion theory are excellent candidates for JSAIT special issues. There will also be special issues for hot topics firmly within information theory, such as new types of codes, short-packet communication, advances in multi-terminal information theory, quantum information theory, information theoretic security, and other emerging topics.

Â鶹´«Ã½AV BITS the Information Theory Magazine publishes content that includes tutorials and review articles, introductions to emerging topics, historical surveys, and columns. The tutorial and review articles cover both traditional and emerging areas associated with Information Theory research and are written in a style accessible to readers outside the specialty of the article. The historical surveys are intended to highlight technological advances of current interest that have been significantly impacted by past Information Theory research. The columns include topics such as perspectives from funding agencies, startups and industry developments, puzzles and cartoons, and reporting on events of interest to our audience. The mission of the Magazine is to increase the visibility of the high quality content associated with the area of Information Theory, make it more accessible to a wide audience of scientists, engineers, researchers and educators, and highlight the rich interdisciplinary work that leverages Information Theory.

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV Information Theory Society Newsletter is published four times a year.
