François Baccelli is a specialist of communication networkÌýmodeling and design and is the author of several books andÌýof a large number of research papers on these questions.

His current research work is focused on the analysis, controlÌýand measurement of large IP networks and on the developmentÌýof new mathematical tools for assessing and exploiting theÌýcapacity of future wireless networks.

He held research positions at INRIA Rocquencourt, in theÌýMaths Center of AT&T Bell Laboratories, INRIA SophiaÌýAntipolis and UC Berkeley. He is currently head of an INRIAÌýresearch group on communication networks, which is part ofÌýthe Computer Science Department of Ecole Normale SupérieureÌýin Paris.
