The International Castle Meeting on Coding Theory and Applications is a conference on coding theory and its applications that takes place every three years. This year鈥檚 edition took place in Vihula Manor, Vihula, Estonia, with 38 participants from 13 countries. The conference included a special one-day student workshop, which was devoted to the student works.

There were three invited talks:

  • Tor Helleseth, 鈥50 years of cross-correlation of m-sequences鈥
  • Raquel Pinto, 鈥淐onvolutional codes over finite rings鈥
  • Paul Siegel, 鈥淒ata shaping codes for flash memories鈥


Additionally, Camilla Hollanti gave a tutorial on coded private information retrieval.

The cultural program included an excursion in Vihula and Palmse manors, and a guided tour in the old town of Tallinn, the best preserved medieval city in Northern Europe and the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.
