We are looking for an excellent candidate to work on physical layer security for wireless networks. Recently we started a project financed by the Italian Ministry of University entitled Enhancing communication security by cross-layer physical and data-link techniques (ESCAPADE) aimed at studying and developing new cross-layer physical/data-link security solutions for existing and future wireless communications. The post-doc will address issues related to a practical implementation of existing theoretical frameworks for physical layer security, e.g., secure automatic repeat request (ARQ) transmissions, resource allocation for secure orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems.Ìý

The ideal candidate has earned a PhD on topics related to information theory, signal processing for communication, optimization of communication techniques. Experience on physical layer security topics is a plus but not a prerequisite.
