The 2019 Â鶹´«Ã½AV International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) will take place in the center of Paris at the Maison de la Mutualité in the heart of Paris, France, from July 7th to 12th, 2019. With 900 international experts, scientists and researchers expected, ISIT focuses on the processing, transmission, storage, and use of information. It specifically encompasses theoretical and certain applied aspects of coding, communications and communications networks, complexity and cryptography, detection and estimation, and learning.
Conference Highlights:
Hosted by the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Information Theory Society, the 2019 ISIT will feature contributed papers, plenary talks by distinguished researchers in the areas of coding theory (Shannon lecturer, Erdal Arıkan), sequential detection (George V. Moustakides), artificial intelligence (Yoshua Bengio), theory of random matrices (Alice Guionnet), and network information theory (Muriel Medard), as well as 6 tutorial sessions. This year the ISIT program includes special invited sessions on emerging areas of information theory and its applications:
· Information Privacy and Fairness
· Quantum information
· Deep learning for compression
· Applications to scientific discovery
· Applications to fine arts
As ISIT 2019 is being held in a popular summer tourist destination we strongly recommend that participants arrange for hotel accommodations well in advance. For more information see the "Venue&Travel" pulldown menu on the ISIT 2019 webpageÂ
